Gitarrist Ramiro Olaciregui präsentiert sein Berliner 5tet „TONIC“. Diese Gruppe versammelt internationale Musiker aus der Berliner Jazzszene und kombiniert verschiedene Musikgenres wie Rock & Funk in einem zeitgenössischen Jazzrahmen.
Der Name TONIC bezieht sich auf die Wurzel eines bestimmten Musikstücks, das Struktur und Kohärenz ermöglicht. Begrifflich bezieht es sich auf die Idee, mit den eigenen Wurzeln in Kontakt zu sein. Sowohl in der Musik als auch im Leben haben die Dinge einen Anfang und ein Ende, die von einer Wurzel kommen und sich schließlich zu ihr auflösen.

The name TONIC refers to the root of a specific piece of music that allows for structure and coherence. Conceptually, it refers to the idea of being in touch with one's roots. In both music and life, things have a beginning and an end that come from a root and eventually resolve to it.
